Italy’s digital nomad visa
Italy, like many other EU countries, is offering a digital nomad visa to remote workers earning around €28,000 – €30,000 a year.
If granted, the visa will allow workers to stay for up to a year, with the possibility of renewal. Applicants may also be eligible to bring family members.
Approval is subject to requirements including having valid health insurance and passing background checks.
Applicants will need to go to their local consulate for more information on how to apply.
Italy is the latest in a series of countries now offering digital nomad visas, offering remote workers more choice in where they work from. Cheers or salute to that!
What is a digital nomad
A digital nomad is someone who can work remotely in any location that they choose. They are typically self-employed or they work for tech companies which allow flexible working. Forget two-week annual vacations, when you live as a digital nomad, you’re technically always on holiday.

Once a relatively unknown lifestyle, it’s a rapidly growing community as more people are seeking out this attractive way of working and living.
