The best part of being a digital nomad is the freedom to work from anywhere you like and whichever place you feel is the most productive.
It’s great to cafe hop and we do our best work from our favourite spots around the city. And whilst there are thousands of cafes and coffee shops in London, not all of them are ideal for remote working. So to save you time, here are 16 of our favourites.
Best cafes to work from London
1. One Hundred Shoreditch
In the middle of Shoreditch, it’s a hotel with a great communal work table on the ground floor. The coffee is good and the WiFi is good, and even with so many others working remotely, it doesn’t get too noisy. But it does get busy, so go early to get a good spot.

2. Allpress Espresso Roastery
Lovely cafe in Dalston with indoor and outdoor seating, serving a mean flat white and room for plenty of remote workers.

3. Fwd Coffee
Small but cosy coffee shop round the corner from Brick Lane and with nice window seats to settle into with your laptop.

4. Gail’s
A popular chain cafe all over London with great savoury and sweet baked goods and plenty of tables and plugs. Shout out for the chocolate almond croissant. Sign up to their loyalty card and download their app for your first coffee, free.
5. Pophams
Some of the best pastries in the capital and a great indoor and outdoor workspace for you and your laptop. We love the London Fields branch.

6. Forno
Another popular spot competing for the best baked goods in town and right by gorgeous Regents Canal when you take a stroll after a long day on PowerPoint. It gets busy, so get there early.

7. Hotel nHow
A hidden gem near Old Street with a great comfortable and quiet lounge area for remote working and a bar for ordering coffees.

8. Blank Street Coffee
An NYC import which is taking over London, with branches all over the city. It makes an addictive Pistachio Latte.

9. TwoDoors
Round the corner from London Fields, a lovely independent coffee shop with great brunch options.

10. Harris & Hoole
A great chain where you can settle in for the day with your laptop undisturbed with great coffee choices and even better iced coffee in the summer months. Sign up for their loyalty scheme if you make it a regular thing.

11. Ole & Steen
When it comes to the best cafes to work from London, it’s nice not to feel rushed for a table, and you won’t here, at these roomy coffee shops. Grab a Cinnamon Social slice for an afternoon treat.
12. Riding House Cafe
The Riding House Cafe is a London hotspot for media workers and business lunches. A perfect date for you and your laptop.

13. Pret a Manager
You’re never more than a street away from a Pret. Sign up for their excellent rewards program where you get five drinks a day for £30 with your first month half price.

14. Seabird
When it comes to the best cafes to work from London, this is a real hidden gem. Though it’s not a cafe but a rooftop restaurant, at The Hoxton near Southbank. It’s gloriously empty early in the morning and offers coffee with a view whilst typing away.

15. Dusty Knuckle
Delectable pastries, coffee and plenty of table space outside for when working Al Fresco. It’s very trendy and very popular. and you should go early as it shuts by 3pm!

16. Wetherspoons
But that’s a pub! Yes it is, but it opens from 8am and serves unlimited tea and coffee for less than £2 and has plenty of cosy tables to get settled at. Let’s face it, cafe hopping is fab but it gets expensive! This is a great option for those on a budget or who want to cut back.
